Whitewashing

Ben: Poor boy! Today is a holiday and you have to work
Tom: Work? How can you call it “work”? You know nothing at all, poor child.
Ben: I don't understand what you mean.
Tom: Don't you think it is art? It needs artistic eyes and skills to do a perfect job. The fence has to be painted flat and even.
Ben: You really like it?
Tom: Don't you think it is fun? Not every child can have a chance to whitewash the fence everyday.
Ben: Tom, let me try it !
Tom: No, I can't let you destroy my masterpiece.
Ben: Please! I'll give you the last bite of my apple.
Tom: I can't! Auntie Polly will blame me for that.
Ben: OK, I'll give you the whole apple. Take it. Just let me try it.
Tom: Be careful when whitewashing. I agree to let you do it not because of the apple but our friendship.

※由此可知，原文中的句子—You know nothing at all，雖然沒有not，但仍是”否定句”唷！
※ “nothing”是個很好用的字，是”沒什麼”的意思，為了讓這個字的用法更好懂，再舉一些例子來看看吧！
