二、班別 Types of Classes：
　　　　設合班、個別班兩種，依照學生程度高低和時間方便編班上課。 There are two
　　　　types of classes: Individual and Group. They are arranged according to the schedule and
　　　　language proficiency of each student.

　　三、特點 Features：
　　　　•聘請國語文專家和富有教學經驗老師授課。
　　　　•用直接教學法及注音符號教學。
　　　　•班址地點適中，交通方便，近捷運古亭站（七號出口）。

　　　　。All instructors are experienced professionals.
　　　　。Classes are taught by means of direct methods using the Chinese Phonetic Symbols.
　　　　。The Center is conveniently located near Kuting MRT Station (Exit 7) and easily accessible
　　　　　from all parts if the city.
　　　　。Classrooms are soundproof and air-conditioned.
　　　　。Equal emphasis are placed on listening, speaking, reading and writing for effective
　　　　　learning.
　　　　。The publishing Department of the Mandarin Daily News operates a bookstore at 2 Fu
　　　　。Chow Street where both elementary and advanced books marked with phonetic
　　　　　transcriptions can be purchased.

　　四、教材 Teaching Materials：

　　There are twelve terms a year. Each term is a month long and starts on the first day of each month.
　　Classes are held daily from Monday to Friday. Each class is comprised of two 50 minutes periods,
　　students will have two classes daily. The morning periods are 8:10-10:00 or 10:10-12:00.
　　The afternoon periods are 1:00-2:50 or 3:00-4:50.
　　The evening periods are 5:00-6:50 or 7:00-8:50.
　　Students are free to choose their hours.

　　六、註冊 Registration：

　　1.新生應於每月二十日至三十一日攜帶護照，親自到本中心辦理註冊手續。
　　2.新生填註冊單，繳照片兩張。
　　3.程度測驗後決定教材及上課時間。
　　4.繳學費：
　　　個別班　　　　每節課420元。
　　　二人班　　　　每節課220元。
　　　三人以上合班　每節課150元。
　　5.程度測驗費300元。
　　6.領上課時間表

　　1.Every new student should come in person with their passport to complete registration from 20th to the
　　　last day of the month preceding the term they will begin studies.
　　2.Fill out an application form with two photographs attached.
　　3.Textbooks and schedule will be determined after a placement test.
　　4.Pay tuition. Individual Class NT＄ 420 per class. Group Class (2), Each student NT＄ 220 per class.
　　　 Group Class (3-or more students), Each student NT＄ 150 per class.
　　5.Placement test fee is NT300.

　　七、注意 Remarks：

　　1.註冊時應繳清學費。
　　2.已繳學費不能退還。
　　3.學生有事不能上課，應在前一天請假。
　　4.個別班學生因事請假，須於兩天前商請授課老師同意，再與教務組聯絡，於當月
　　　內另訂時間補課。
　　5.合班學生請假者，仍應繳足當月全部學費。
　　6.申請合班上課者，若無適合課程可合班者，應按照上課班別補繳學費差額。
　　7.每月結束，願繼續上課時，須在該月二十日前另辦註冊手續。
　　8.國定假期一律放假，亦不收取學費。
　　9.如遇天然災害（如颱風、地震等）或人力無法控制之因素（如停電）而宣布停課，
　　　本中心不負責補課亦不退費。
　　10.颱風天是否停課以臺北市政府發布之訊息為準。
　　1.Students are required to pay full tuition at registration.
　　2.No tuition will be refunded.
　　3.Students should notify the Center one day in advance if they are unable to attend classes.
　　4.If a student of an Individual class obtains permission two days in advance from his (her)
　　　instructor and the Administration to take a leave of absence, he (she) may request to have
　　　classes made up within the same term.
　　5.A student of a Group Class is required to pay full tuition even if he (she) fails to attend classes.
　　6.A student who applied for enrollment in a Group Class of 3-5 is also required to pay the
　　　tuition for an Individual class or a Group class of 2 if there are not enough students of similar
　　　language proficiency and interest to form a group.
　　7.Students who plan to continue their study at the Center should reregister by the twentieth of
　　　each month.
　　8.No classes are held on national holidays; no tuition is required for those days.
　　9.When encountering natural disasters, such as typhoons, earthquakes, etc., or some other factors
　　　beyond control, like outage, and classes are forced to be suspended, MDN has no responsibilities
　　　for make-up lessons and no tuition will be returned either.
　10.Whether the classes are suspended on typhoon days, it will be depended on the declaration by Taipei
　　Municipal Government.
